Come join us for an exciting weekend on the beautiful and rugged trails of the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Events include 6k Mt. Baldy Summit Run, 10K Copper Harbor Trails Challenge, 10K Copper Harbor Trails Non-Competitive Run/Hike, 2K Junior Trail Run, 25K Carl Olson Memorial Adventure Run, and 50k Keweenaw Trail Ultra
Conquer the weekend by running all three of the Mt. Baldy Summit, the 10K Copper Harbor Trails Adventure and the 25K COMA Run! Special awards to top 5 overall Male and Female finishers combined event times, Top U23 Male and Female finishers, Middle of the Pack Male and Female and Finnish Sisu award. Tons of door prizes throughout the weekend.
TNC Mt. Baldy Hillclimb 6k
First of three events in Run the Keweenaw - A festival of trails. This point-point run starts at Eagle Harbor and travels through dirt road, sand, two-track, a creek crossing and singletrack before topping out on Mt. Baldy. Don't be fooled by the three false summits along the way - you will be treated to an unmatched view of Lake Superior at the summit. The race is to the top, and the recovery is a jog back down to the lake - no shuttles are available.
RTK Ultra 50k
The crown jewel of Run the Keweenaw - A festival of trails. One circuit of the 25k course is not enough adventure for you? Then make it two! The 50k Ultra will challenge your physical and mental stamina on terrain you never thought possible in the Michigan. For a true mountain run feel, this event cannot be topped without leaving the Midwest.
Copper Harbor Trails Challenge 10k
The second of three races in Run the Keweenaw - A festival of trails, this event will treat you to a tasty selection of the world class singletrack of Copper Harbor, MI. Designed to IMBA specifications for mountain biking, these flowy trails provide the trail runner with an equally enjoyable experience. The Trails Challenge takes you through Ft. Wilkins State Park out to Mandan Rd where you join Phase I of the Keweenaw Point Trail back to town. Are you up to the challenge?
Copper Harbor Trails Non-Competitive Hike
Up for the beautiful sights and sounds of the Copper Harbor trails without the hardcore competition? The 10k non-competitive hike version is suited for you. Go your own pace on the same course traversed by the trail runners, at a more relaxed pace to take in the views of Lake Fanny Hooe and Lake Superior.
Carl Olson Memorial Adventure Run 25k
Third race in the Epic weekend series In honor of Carl Olson who was always up for adventure and the physical challenges provided by the outdoors, this trail run is reminiscent of the Rocky Mountains. It will test your physical and mental endurance like none other. You will experience everything the Epic Copper Harbor trails provides on its flowing singletrack - climbs, descents, vistas, rocks and roots.
Junior Trail Run 2k
One for the younger crowd - this event introduces the next generation to the joys of running on trails. A relatively flat, fast course takes the kids on a tour through the fields around Grandpa's Ponds.
